avengers: endgame review

Avengers: Endgame is the latest superhero movie and sequel to the amazing Infinity War that arrives in theatres this week. So how is it? Endgame feels like a finale and ultimate culmination of the 22 movie MCU saga, and one of the best superhero movies ever. And do not worry like the title says and with all my movie reviews , it is spoiler free.

Avengers: Endgame is a massive love letter to comic book fans and MCU fans and it happens to be much funnier than I expected given the tone and events of Infinity War, however the events of the movie are still hanging over this film and it creates a tense atmosphere. The plan to defeat Thanos and reverse what was done is probably what you think but it's done in a way you won't expect and is done pretty creatively, and how it balances the events of 22 past Avengers movies and the events of the last movie is truly a marvel, it's a miracle that the film worked at all.

Thanos isn't quite the awesome villain he is in the first one as the movie spends time with him less but he still is really effective. The general performances are good in this film although the main and true standout is the hero it all started with, Tony Stark ( Robert Downey Jnr.), who in my estimation might now be the iconic superhero in the world, it's either him or cap now ( sorry Superman, Batman and Spiderman ) and Endgame feels probably like his movie the most.

While Avengers: Endgame is great, it is pretty long and there is treatment of some female characters, particularly one that irks and sticks in my craw. The film also plays fast and loose with the rules made in this film that might fall apart when you think about them. But even without that, the movie is a delight and everything fans wanted and more ( heck almost too great I made a bet it won't outgross Avatar worldwide and that looks like it's going to happen ). The climax, missions and action is going to leave everyone who is a fan of the movies incredibly happy with some truly great and awesome moments.

I would also like to add, Team Iron Man is right and vindicated in this movie ( we picked the right side ).

Avengers: Endgame is the ultimate comic book movie, it might not be the best story or the best movie of the comic genre, but it is the best comic book movie in regards to being inspired by comic books. Ambitious, fun and with terrific moments, Endgame is everything fans wanted and brings a satisfying conclusion to the MCU.

Endgame is a perfect series finale of the MCU that feels like the ending of a grand chapter, yet still leaves space and hope for future movies.
