Jemima Osunde is a star, It’s time to pay attention

If you watch Nigerian TV-shows, there’s a good chance that you’re a version of me; you watch it cause of one or all the following reasons: a family member made you watch it and you’re now kind of interested, a certain person you’re crushing on moans about it on social media and you wanted to see what the fuss is about or perhaps you stumbled upon it and now you indulge in hate-watch or lastly you watch it cause deep down in your heart you secretly love this Nollywood sh*t but you won’t admit it to yourself.

If you fall in any of the aforementioned categories there’s a high possibility that you’ve come across the face of Jemima Osunde - If you’ve seen Jemima you won’t forget her quickly, she’s an extremely beautiful woman, I call her Helen, cause her beauty like that of Helen of Troy would drive men to wage war against nations. As beautiful as she is, her beauty is nothing compared to her acting. She broke unto the scene as Liela on MTV’s hit show Shuga and she’s been on a role since.

I’m currently watching a bunch of Nollywood web shows and she’s in a league of her own. On Ndani Tv’s Rumour has It, she embodies the role of Ranti, an ambitious rumour-blogger that is not afraid to bite or step on your mother’s toes to push her career forward or to get a scoop. Her performance is so good I (a super fan) genuinely harbour strong feelings of anger towards her character. She’s still a mainstay on the current season of MTV’s Shuga as Liela where she plays a young woman navigating through secrets, sex, relationships and family drama. She’s also on Red Tv’s Inspector K; an action packed comedy where she plays an officer under Inspector H. It’s nothing short of amazing how good she is; three completely different roles on three different networks at the same damn time.

Watch out Nollywood Jemima is coming and she’s coming fast!
