A recommended list of shows to watch in the month of April.

Wild Wild Country (Netflix) • 1 season

Plot: When the world’s most controversial guru builds a utopian city deep in the Oregon desert, conflict with the locals escalates into a national scandal. A true story.
amped: (must watch) a crazy, neutrally set documentary told by both sides. You may switch sides severally in just 6 episodes.
Silicon Valley (HBO) • 5th season

Plot: Follows the struggle of Richard Hendricks, a Silicon Valley engineer trying to build his own company called Pied Piper.
amped: (should watch) you could learn a thing or two about running a business while laughing. The current season deals with T.J Miller's exit pretty well.
Billions (Showtime) • 3rd season

Plot: Attorney Chuck Rhoades goes after hedge fund king Bobby "Axe" Axelrod in a battle between two powerful New York figures.
amped: (may watch) billions manages to keep you interested in a battle between two people that would do anything to win
Barry (HBO) • 1st season

Plot: A hit man from the Midwest moves to Los Angeles and gets caught up in the city’s theatre arts scene
amped: (may watch) This dark comedy starring Bill Hader has so far shown that leaving a bad job to pursue your dreams may not be so easy.
Hap and Leonard (Sundance) • 3 seasons

Plot: Set in the late 1980’s, Hap and Leonard is a darkly comic swamp noir of two best friends, one femme fatale, a crew of washed up revolutionaries, a pair of murderous psycho killers, some lost loot, and the fuzz.
amped: (should watch): one of TV's best kept secrets. Dark, real and sometimes fun.
Atlanta (FX) • 2nd Season

Plot: Two cousins, with different views on art versus commerce, on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene; Earnest ‘Earn’ Marks, an ambitious college dropout and his estranged cousin, who suddenly becomes a star
amped: (must watch) arguably the best show on TV right now. This show dabbles goes from relatable experiences to wild experiences in a flash.
You Me Her (Audience) • 3rd season

Plot: Centers around a three-way romantic relationship involving a suburban married couple.
amped: (may watch) A bingable show on how a 3 way couple can work, or not.
Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) (Netflix) • 2 seasons

Plot: Eight thieves take hostages and lock themselves in the Royal Mint of Spain as a criminal mastermind manipulates the police to carry out his plan.
amped: (must watch) Surprisingly engrossing show, considering the very familiar robbery plot.
The Terror (AMC) • 1st season

Plot: The crew of a Royal Naval expedition searching for the Arctic’s treacherous Northwest Passage discovers instead a monstrous predator
amped: (may watch) Inspired by true events and based on Dan Simmon's book of the same name. This scary period show is filled with familiar british actors.
Legion (FX) • 2nd season

Plot: David was diagnosed with schizophrenia at a young age, and has been a patient in various psychiatric hospitals since. After Haller has an encounter with a fellow psychiatric patient, he is confronted with the possibility that there may be more to him than mental illness.
amped: (may watch) This visually intriguing show ,based on the X-Men character requires interest and patience.
Bosch (Amazon) • 4 seasons

Plot: An LAPD homicide detective works to solve the murder of a 13-year-old boy while standing trial in federal court for the murder of a serial killer.
amped: (may watch) A bingeable cop show focused on a detective that likes to do things his own way.
The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu) • 1 season (returns 4/25)

Plot: Set in a dystopian future, a woman is forced to live as a concubine under a fundamentalist theocratic dictatorship.
amped: (may watch) This critically acclaimed show is probably not for everybody, but its pretty good. This show is based on dystopian novel but it looks like it could happen. To some, it's not so far from the truth.
Archer (FX) • 8 seasons (returns 4/26)

Plot: Covert black ops and espionage take a back seat to zany personalities and relationships between secret agents and drones.
amped: (must watch) An animated spy comedy with humorous characters and plenty one -liners.
Westworld (HBO) 1 season • (returns 4/21)

Plot: Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, explore a world in which every human appetite can be indulged without consequence.
amped: (may watch) The thing about sci-fi is there no boundary for the unrealistic. So you either like the show/movie or you don't. Westworld is a western that features cyborgs. It can be thrilling and thought provoking to say the least.
Black Lightning (CW) • 1 season

Plot: A crusading school principal gets back into action as the original African-American electrical superhero.
amped: (may watch) CW shows are generally mediocre. Superhero shows are usually terrible/average. So it's a bit surprising that Black Lightning is actually a good show. The show manages to tackle some important issues like racism and gang violence and it's just 13 episodes! (rare on CW)
