“The focus of Women Chune Wednesdays is on taking the adoration of women on Wednesdays i.e #WCW, and streamlining it to women in music. I will share 3 amazing projects (song or tape) done by female artistes from any given time period in music. Look out for your favs!” - A lover of women & music.

Kali Uchis - Isolation

Colombian born, Uchis’ sound has been widely described as genre-defying. Her wide sound range makes her create pop songs that take elements of R&B, reggaeton & funk. The nostalgic sound of ‘Your Teeth in My Neck’ is instantly noticeable, she creates a loving pop ballad. On this album she works with various music stars, but after listening you’re left remembering only one name: Kali Uchis. She is enchanting.
Critical reception
For an album that’s 15 tracks to be this consistently good is a rarity, an anomaly, and an artistic triumph that should place it on every Best Of list at the end of the year. For Uchis to accomplish this while still holding on to seemingly all the cards, is even more rare, perhaps signaling a legend in the making — Madison Desler (Paste)
Rapsody - Laila's Wisdom

Rapsody raps with a chilling calm and impeccable candor. She is quick-witted and on You Should Know the calmness with she says “There’s levels to this, I’m a whole new floor/They talking keys to success but I’m a whole new door” She effortlessly compels you to notice her skill on the mic. It feels like rapping comes natural to her, and with Rapsody one wouldn’t imagine picking out a better name.
Critical Reception
…the sort of album that transcends the lane she was in beforehand, transcends whatever antiquated gender biases may still permeate the genre and puts her in the same category as your favorite rapper. — Micahel J.Warren (Exclaim!)
Dami Oniru - Cliche EP

At 10 minutes, this EP is probably one of the shortest music projects you’d find on any given day. With its brevity, it packs a punch that swiftly hits you from its opening track Duro Na. The production on Gold is a good canvas for Dami & Jinmi Abduls to splash vocals that create a musical collage of romantic emotions.
